Themes

All websites will be built on the WordPress platform.  Below is a  link where you can find themes that are our recommendation and that we support.  You can also Google phrases like “free wordpress themes” or “real estate wordpress themes” to find many other themes for your use.

Keep in mind that most free themes don’t come with any documentation or support.  Should you choose to use one of the non recommended themes and if we run into a problem with the theme, additional charges will apply in order to hire someone to try to fix these problems.

We have chosen the recommended themes based on some important SEO factors as well as the level of support available from the provider.  We are confident that you will find something appropriate with one of the 22 themes available from StudioPress. The majority of these themes are suitable for business websites and things such as color can be customized.  These themes start at around $80.00 but our clients may purchase them from us at a $20.00 discount.  Make sure to make a note as to the name of the theme.  To get started looking, visit StudioPress.

We recommend Premium Web Cart for your shopping cart, affiliate management and membership sites.

Email Marketing and Autoresponders

We use and recommend Aweber.  They have the highest deliverability rate in the industry.  This means that messages sent from Aweber almost never end up in the spam folder or junk email box.

If that’s not reason enough, they have a wide variety of great looking pre-made designs for your opt-in boxes as well as newsletters.

They have great support, both live and recorded training for using it as well as some good email marketing tactics.

Equipment

For your convenience, we have set up an Amazon Store with the products we use and recommend if you are looking for some new equipment.  Please note that we do make a commission on these products however this has not influenced our recommendations.   You can find the store here.

For our clients, you will need to obtain a WordPress for Dummies manual and a headset for communication with us via Skype.  You can find these products in our Amazon store or purchase them at the merchant of your choice.

If you are going to maintain your new website after the initial setup and will not be using our maintenance plan, the book we recommend for learning WordPress is “WordPress for Dummies”  This book will teach you all the basics of using WordPress and you should be able to update your site with this information.  You can find this book along with others you might find useful in our store.
