Getting Your Google My Business Listing Completed

Thank you for your payment and congratulations on your decision to develop and/or improve the optimization of your Google My Business listing.

Below you’ll find all the links to the next steps that are necessary to get your listing created and posted on Google.

Step 1:

The first thing we need is your information.  We want you to give us all of the pertinent information you want posted to your business listing. We have an Intake Form for that but before you complete that, if you didn’t order the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) option for your listing, you might want to do that now.  Remember, even after we have claimed, verified, and set up your Google Business Listing, it’s possible that you may not be listed in the 3 pack.  This is particularly true if your business is in a large city or a highly competitive market.  Under those circumstances, you will find that the 3 pack is harder to get listed in, but it’s not impossible.  The trick is to do more of what it takes to get there than your competitors, the ones who are in the 3 pack, are doing.  If you decide to do that, go back now to the GMB page and choose the “SEO My GMB Listing” button near the bottom of the page.

Step 2:

Whether you choose the SEO package or not, you’ll need to click over to our Intake Form and complete the information we need to get your listing set up.  Please complete this form as thoroughly as possible.

Step 3:

Images.  Please provide up to 6 images for your listing.  Suggested images include images of you, your team, your building’s exterior and interior, your products, images of services you’ve provided. Please email your images to CustomerCare@e-EdgeMarketing.com and be sure to include a description of the images if it’s not clear what the image is.

When you receive your verification postcard from Google, put it in a safe place.  We will need that postcard in order to complete the listing.  During our meeting, we’ll also review your listing for accuracy, verify the listing with Google, and you will be able to give us your final approval for the listing.  I’ve put an image of the postcard above so you’ll know what to watch for.  Once you have the postcard, go to our scheduling page to schedule a time to meet with us anytime that’s convenient from the available appointments on the schedule. The meeting will last approx 30 minutes to 1 hour.
